If you have been upset or under stress, we can explore what is making you sad, mad or anxious and get you feeling better. If you are the parent of a college student or young adult, you want a therapist with whom your son or daughter will feel comfortable talking. At the same time you want to feel that the therapist you entrust with your child’s mental health is a professional who can provide you with guidance as to the best course of treatment. I have been successful in helping young adults achieve their goals in part because I involve their families.
I am experienced in the treatment of depression, anxiety, addiction and relationship issues. Other areas of particular specialty include eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder or BED, compulsive overeating, orthorexia), obesity, overweight, weight loss, weight management, chronic dieting, body image and recovery from Gastric Bypass and Gastric Banding procedures. In the treatment of addiction, specialties include alcoholism, drug addiction, food addiction and recovery. My primary method of treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT.
